The mysterious blue water in a well at Kattakada, Thiruvananthapuram, has sparked both wonder and suspicion.

On an ordinary morning in July 2014, residents of Elluvila Colony, a small community near Kattakkada Killi in Kerala, India, were met with a startling sight. Their well, once a reliable source of freshwater, had turned an unnatural shade of blue.

Panic gripped the colony as residents realized the gravity of the situation. Health department officials were immediately alerted and swiftly arrived at the scene to collect water samples for detailed analysis.

Following the health department's strict guidelines, the contaminated water was deemed unsafe for consumption. Intriguingly, when the blue-hued water was boiled, its color gradually returned to normal.

Despite extensive investigations and laboratory tests, the underlying cause for the mysterious blue coloration of the well water remained elusive. The incident left the community perplexed and raised concerns about the potential environmental factors contributing to such an unusual occurrence.
