Their well, once a reliable source of freshwater, had turned an unnatural shade of blue . Panic gripped the colony as residents realized the gravity of the situation. Health department officials were immediately alerted and swiftly arrived at the scene to collect water samples for detailed analysis. Following the health department's strict guidelines, the contaminated water was deemed unsafe for consumption. Intriguingly, when the blue-hued water was boiled, its color gradually returned to normal. ലേഖനം ആറ്റിങ്ങൽ വാസു ആറ്റിങ്ങലിൽ വാസു എന്നൊരാൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ആറ്റിങ്ങലിൻ്റെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട കമ്യൂണിസ്റ്റ് വാസു. ആറ്റിങ്ങൽ നഗരസഭാ പ്രദേശത്ത് കമ്യൂണിസ്റ്റ് പ്രസ്ഥാനം കെട്ടിപ്പടുക്കാൻ നേതൃത്വം നൽകിയവരിൽ പ്രമുഖനായ വേളാർകുടി സ്വദേശി വാസു. വെട്ടൻ ശ്രീധരൻ, ജനാർദ്ധനൻ ആശാരി, ആർ.പ്രകാശം എന്നീ മൂവർ സംഘത്തിൻ്റെ കൂടെ വേളാർകുടി പ്രദേശത്തുള്ള ഗണപതിക്കും വേലുവിനും ഒപ്പം നിന്ന് പ്രവർത്തിച്ച ആറ്റിങ്ങൽ വാസു, ആറ്റിങ്ങൽകാരുടെ കമ്യൂണിസ്റ്റ് വാസു ആയി മാറി.  ഇവർ മൂവരുടെയും പ്രവൃർത്തന ഫലമായി, വേളാർ സമുദായത്തിൽ ഉള്ളവർ കൂടുതൽ താമസിക്കുന്ന വേളാർകുടി, ഒരു കമ്യൂണിസ്റ്റ് ഗ്രാമമായി രൂപാന്തരപ്പെട്ടു. ഗ്രാമ പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ക്ലാസ്സുകളിൽ, നേതാക്കളെ എത്തിക്കുന്ന ചുമതല വാസുവിനാണ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത്. വേളാർ സമുദായത്തിനുള്ളിലും, ആറ്റിങ്ങൽ ഭാഗങ്ങളിലും കമ്യൂണിസ്റ്റ് പാർട്ടിയെ വളർത്തിയതിൽ വാസുവും സംഘവും വലിയ പങ്കാണ് വഹിച്ചത്. ഒരു കാലത്ത് തൊഴിലാളി പ്രസ്ഥാനങ്ങളുടെ ആവേശമായിരുന്ന യുവ നേതാവ്, ഒരു പ്രായം കഴിഞ്ഞ്, ജീവിതം വഴിമുട്ടിയപ്പോൾ ഭൂപടങ്ങളുടെ കച്ചവടവുമായി മുന്നോട്ടു പോയി. പല സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ പോയി ഭൂപടങ്ങൾ വിറ്റ് തൻ്റെ കുടും...

കാട് തേടി പോകുമ്പോൾ... കഥ ജീവിതം പോലെ തന്നെ വഴിത്താരകളും, ദുർഘടമായ പാതകളിലൂടെ കയറ്റങ്ങളുടേയും പിരിവുകളുടേയും പരമ്പരകൾ താണ്ടി പോകേണ്ടി വരും. നാട്ടിലെ  ജീവിതം എന്ന ആഢംബരം പ്രഹേളിക ആയപ്പോഴാണ് കാടു കയറാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചത്..   ക്രൂരതകളുടേയും അസമത്വങ്ങളുടേയും നാട്ടിൽ ഇനിയൊരു തുടർച്ച വേണ്ട എന്നു തീരുമാനിച്ചു. വലിയ തട്ടിപ്പുകാരും കപട മുഖങ്ങളും വിരാജിക്കുന്ന ഇവിടെ നിന്നും ഒരു ഒളിച്ചോട്ടം, അതു കാട്ടിലേക്കായിരുന്നു..  നിസ്സഹായനായ ഒരു സാധാരണ മനുഷ്യൻ പ്രതികരണത്തിനു പോലും കഴിയാതെ, കശക്കി ഏറിയപ്പെടും എന്നുള്ള തിരിച്ചറിവ് ഭയപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന അസ്വസ്ഥതകളുടെ, അരക്ഷിതമായ പകലുകളേയും  രാത്രികളേയും സൃഷ്ടിച്ചെടുത്തു. ആദിമ കാലത്തെ കാടിൻ്റെ വസന്തം നുകരണമെന്നു തോന്നി. മരങ്ങളുടെ മടിത്തട്ടിൽ അവരുടെ തണൽ പറ്റി ജീവിതം അവിടെ അവസാനിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ  അവസാനിക്കട്ടെ! ഒരു ആന എതിരേ വരുന്നുണ്ട്. ചങ്ങലകളില്ലാത്ത, ഗജവീരന്മാരെ പോലെ എല്ലാവരും സ്വതന്ത്രരും നിർഭയരും ആയിരിക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട്.   എവിടേക്കുള്ളതാണ് ഈ യാത്ര! അരക്ഷിതമായ ചുറ്റുപാടുകളിൽ നിന്നും കാടു തേടി വന്നതാണ്..  സ്വജന പക്ഷപാതികളുടേയും അഴിമത...

Believed to be imbued with divine energy , this art form requires a nine-day-long fast before its performance. It's one of the many art forms that blend history, belief, and worship. Unfortunately, the number of artists practicing Pakkanar Kali has dwindled significantly over the years. Many traditional temple arts are now mere historical references, only experienced through old records. Pakkanar Kali, too, has been reduced to a mere tourist attraction, performed primarily during government-sponsored cultural events. One of the most renowned Pakkanar Kali artists of our time was Shreedharan , who hailed from Varkala Thachankonam . He was the son of Raman Pakkanar , another celebrated performer. കഥ മുകളിലത്തെ മിനുസമുള്ള പ്രതലത്തിൽ ശരിക്കും പിടിച്ച് ഇരിക്കാൻ പറ്റിയില്ല. ബസിന് ചെറിയ തോതിൽ കുലുക്കവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. പിടിവിട്ടു പോയ വെളുമ്പൻ പല്ലി നേരേ പോയി വീഴുന്നത് ലതികയുടെ കഴുത്തിനു പുറകിലാണ്. ഒരു പിടുത്തം! പിന്നെ ഇക്കിളിയിട്ടു കൊണ്ട് ഓടി മറഞ്ഞു.. ലതിക തിരിഞ്ഞു നോക്കിയപ്പോൾ, കണ്ടത് തൻ്റെ കഴുത്തിനു തൊട്ടടുത്തായി സീറ്റിൻ്റെ പുറകിലത്തെ കമ്പിയിൽ പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് അലക്ഷ്യമായി ഇരിക്കുന്ന വിനയനെയാണ്.  സീറ്റിൽ നിന്നും ചാടി എഴുന്നേറ്റ ലതിക, വിനയനെ നോക്കി ആക്രോശിച്ചു. താൻ, എന്താടോ എന്നെ ചെയ്തത്! ഒന്നും മനസ്സിലാവാതെ വിനയൻ ലതികയെ നോക്കി. ബസ്സിനുള്ളിൽ നിറയെ ആളുകൾ. എല്ലാവരുടേയും ശ്രദ്ധ ലതികയിലേക്ക്..   എന്താ പ്രശ്നം! തൊട്ടടുത്ത് തന്നെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന കണ്ടക്ടർ ലതികയോട് കാര്യം തിരക്കി. വിനയനെ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി ലതിക പറഞ്ഞു.  ഇയാൾ എന്നെ.. എല്ലാം മനസ്സിലായതു പോലെ കണ്ടക്ടർ, ബസ്സ് നിർത്താനുള്ള ബല്ലടിച്ചു. വഴിയുടെ ഓരം ചേർന്ന് ബസ്സ് നിന്നു. എല്ലാവരും കൂടി ചേർന്ന് വിനയനെ പിടിച്ച് വലിച്ചു പുറത്തേക്ക് കൊണ്ടു പോയി. പോലീസിനെ വിളിക്കിൻ! ആരോ പറയുന്നത് കേട്ടു. പോലീസിനെ വിളിക്കുന്നതിനു മുൻപ് ഇവനെ ഒന്...
